THE PERFECT PITCH: What are the components of the Perfect Pitch? When you head into a conversation and realize Buyers Care About THEIR Problems....then you can orient your story-telling to their needs. Selling is about them, not about you.
Here are my thoughts on what a great initial sales call would look like:
The sequence of the pitch .ppt will be: 30 minutes
➡️ Introductions/Their Story - Create initial rapport and understand Why they are here? (3 minutes)
➡️ Convergence Event - What are you seeing as a market shift and why should the prospect care? (2 minutes)
➡️ Market Problem/Pain Point - This is most likely why they are on the call, but you can outline the pain caused by the market shift. (5 minutes)
➡️ Customer Case Study Slide - How have you made others win given this pain? (5 minutes)
➡️ Unique Value Proposition - How are you special and targeted to solve the pain? Why should the prospect let you solve it for them? (5 minutes)
➡️ ROI evidence that backs up your value prop - Show specific numbers and percentages they can easily relay to others (2 minutes)
➡️ Q&A - Discovery from both sides - you can ask questions and disarm them at the same time by letting them ask questions (5 minutes, let this roll if needed)
➡️ Next Steps - Replay key parts that were discussed and schedule next call on the spot (3 minutes)
‼️ ‼️NOTE: Follow-up with intent! Recap the call to the prospect and show your attention to detail. It builds confidence in your they could potentially work with you as a customer.
